Dear Vladimir,

By isolating you more and more on this special day in transferring you to an even worse place the Putin regime tries to break your resistance as well as that of your friends. By these few words I just want to tell you that this is not going to happen and that we are more than ever defending the legacy of Boris Nemtsow and all those who fought and are fighting for freedom, human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
I would like to add that your wife Evgenia is remarkable and to all of us a role model of courage.
Your birthday is unfortunately really not a happy one. All I can do is to assure you that you are not forgotten and that from all my heart I wish you to continue your combat with courage.
