We are an open Haus for innovation and a global liberal think-tank, with the aim of enhancing the values and goals of freedom worldwide. With our activities and publications, we encourage and support individuals in exercising their right of political participation. Our offices in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) work within the frame of freedom and human rights in their national context. Our office is based in Amman, Jordan. FNF MENA has three main programs that encourage inter-country cooperation: MENA-NET | MENA-EU | MENA-GEOPOL. We advise and motivate relevant stakeholders and shape and promote solutions that are based on enhancing individual freedom and responsibility.

Naumann Theater for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
Amman, Jordan – On October 5th, 2023, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom MENA (FNF MENA) proudly announced a groundbreaking collaboration that brings the transformative power of theater to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. FNF MENA, in partnership with the "Ruff Performing Arts Troupe Association," is set to implement the Naumann Theater, a platform dedicated to producing plays that illuminate critical political and societal issues.

"Refugees: Priorities vs. Reality" Podcast
Refugee youth in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region encounter a multitude of challenges that obstruct their path to a brighter future. These hurdles encompass limited access to education, healthcare, and essential services, coupled with a dearth of opportunities for employment and personal development. As a consequence, many refugee youth find themselves adrift, lacking a sense of belonging or optimism for what lies ahead.

How the Middle East can benefit from multilateralism
Like many regions around the world, the Middle East, in particular the Arab World, had gone through turbulent episodes at the height of the Cold War. As the former colonial powers of Britain and France began their slow withdrawal from the region at the end of the Second World War, the United States moved in to secure oil routes from the Arabian Gulf as well as to protect pro-western monarchies from the Arab nationalist tide that found an ally in the Soviet Union.
