Curriculum Development Consultant for Blue Economy Education

1. Introduction

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) and Centre for Civil Society (CCS) is seeking a highly qualified and experienced consultant to develop a comprehensive curriculum on Blue Economy for students aged 12 to 18 years old. The curriculum should be designed to be adaptable for schools across the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) member countries, encompassing government, private, and budget private schools.

2. Project Overview

  • Scope: Develop a comprehensive and adaptable curriculum on Blue Economy.
  • Target Audience: Students aged 12 to 18 years old.
  • Duration: The curriculum development process should be completed in a timely manner, with the first draft to be presented by 25 November, and the final draft by 3 December.
  • Review Conference: A round table conference will be held from 7-8 December, during which the consultant will present the final draft to educational experts, government officials, academic researchers, international organizations, and environmental activists from BIMSTEC countries.

3. Consultant Requirements

We are looking for a consultant who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Expertise in Oceans and Blue Economy: The consultant should have a deep understanding of the ocean's significance in the context of the Blue Economy and its potential benefits to economic growth.
  • Curriculum Development Experience: Demonstrated experience in developing educational curricula, particularly for school-age students.
  • Cross-Cultural Competence: The ability to create a curriculum that is adaptable to various educational systems and cultures within BIMSTEC countries.

4. Application Submission

Prospective candidates are invited to submit their applications by no later than October 20th. Applications should encompass the following:

  • A comprehensive resume underscoring pertinent experience and qualifications.
  • A motivational letter elucidating your suitability for this project. If possible, a draft or outline of the curriculum content will be greatly appreciated.
  • A proposed honorarium for your consultancy services.

5. Evaluation and Selection Process
