Dr Tenzin Lhadon

Short vita

Dr. Tenzin Lhadon was born in India and was educated in Tibetan Children's Village (TCV) school and went on to pursue her Bachelors and Masters degree from Chennai. Later she joined Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi as a PhD student in the Centre for East Asian Studies. She completed her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Srikanth Kondapalli and successfully defended her PhD thesis on July 2021. She is currently a Research Fellow at Tibet Policy Institute (TPI), a research center of the Central Tibetan Administration, located in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India. She was recently elected as the board member of the International Seminar of Young Tibetologist (ISYT) where she presented her paper titled, "Turning Inwards: The Gender discourse in the Tibetan diaspora and the Tibetan National Movement" held at University of Virginia in August 2022. She has written articles, op-eds, chapters for books and participated in various online discussions
