International Women's Day 2023
March 18th marks International Women’s Day.
Here at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation we want to see a world where differences are valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
We are proud to showcase our annual global #FemaleForward campaign to celebrate female empowerment and leadership.
FNF works with female ambassadors, liberal multipliers, role models and trailblazers from all over Southeast and East Asia.

Defending women’s rights in Islam
As the Executive Director of Malaysia's Sisters in Islam, Rozana Isa's role is to make sure that Muslim women are being heard. She finds women are being grossly disadvantaged under the Syariah laws, and she believes that women have a right to question the injustice they experience in the name of Islam.
Women provide leadership where it is absent
As we have always done throughout our struggle for equality, we have made much out of little, and more than made do when we were given less.
Why women empowerment is crucial in Southeast & East Asia
In many areas, women have shown that they can conquer obstacles and break stereotypes.
