I was ranked among BBC’s 100 most inspiring and influential women from around the world for 2020. I also co-founded FE-MALE, a non-profit feminist collective and currently work as Executive Director. Editor in Chief of Sharika wa Laken feminist platform.
My mission is to ensure girls and women have access to justice, information, protection and human rights.
My motivation is my passion to achieve a positive change and challenge the systemic inequalities women face on a daily basis.
The program was a very interesting opportunity that introduced me to other women activists, political leaders and feminists from different parts of the region and the world. I learned a lot from their experiences and approaches and reflected a lot on the common challenges we as women face and the importance of continuous exchange, learning and practising solidarity to ensure women’s rights and effective participation in all fields.
