The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom has been present in Greece since 2012 and is based in Athens. By strengthening liberal forces and conveying liberal values and positions, the Greece Office contributes to the development and consolidation of a pluralist democracy and an open, market economy and rule of law in Greece. It is committed to preserving freedom of action with the aim of strengthening European values in Greece.
"Safety for Journalists" Training Academy
The "Safety for Journalists Training School", which will take place again this year (29 August - 1 September) in Kilkis, is organized in collaboration with a number of distinguished partners, with the support of the Multinational Training Center for Peace Support Operations (PKEEE) and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Greece and Cyprus, within the United Nations Academic Impact.

Women Act: The Future of Leadership is Female
Women Act, a Leadership Academy, was organized in Patras on 23 June 2022 with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. The event was a half-day experiential workshop on "Leadership and Personal Branding" that gave female participants the skills necessary to project a more concrete and assertive image in the public sphere.

In its 2022 edition of the World Press Freedom Index, Reporters without Borders (RFS) assessed the current state of journalism in 180 countries and territories, while underlying major challenges for media organisations and journalists across the world. Greece “suffered serious setbacks in 2021 and 2022, with journalists regularly prevented from covering issues from migration to Covid-19.
