North America
The North America Regional Office in Washington, D.C. is composed of two pillar programs. The Transatlantic Dialogue Program fosters political dialogue among political, business, scientific and cultural multipliers from the US, Canada and Germany and develops innovative liberal approaches and solutions to transatlantic issues. The World Order and Globalization Hub fosters dialogue among political, business and scientific multipliers by encouraging increased mutual understanding within the global economic landscape. Both initiatives seek to facilitate a transfer of knowledge among experts in order to make a worldwide contribution to social and economic progress.

Transatlantic Dialogue Political Professionals Study Tour
The FNF Transatlantic Dialogue (TAD) conducted its annual study tour program from June 18th-25th. This year’s program saw participants exploring the political, cultural, and economic landscapes of Upper Bavaria, Munich, and Berlin, and focused itself around the motto “Germany’s Political and Economic Landscape in Times of Zeitenwende”. The professional expertise of the participants ranged from industry to government affairs.

World Order and Globalization Hub Hosts Study Tour on Renewable Energy
The World Order and Globalization Hub welcomed its eighteenth delegation of experts in May for an eight-day-long study tour focusing on renewable energy and the energy transition. The Hub hosted a delegation of seven participants representing Malaysia, India, Bulgaria, South Africa, Guatemala, Italy, and Germany for the program, which took place in Washington, DC and Portland, Oregon.

Reshape Europe Hackathon
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation North America hosted its Reshape Europe Hackathon in Washington, DC, from May 13 to 17, 2023, with the theme "How can we make the EU more visible in the United States?". Four two-person teams conceptualized and proposed methods to achieve this goal. They were given three days to work on their proposals, after which they presented their finished product to the judging panel, and a winning team was selected.

Transatlantic Dialogue Alumni Conference 2023
This years Transatlantic Dialogue Conference took place April 13th through April 16th in Coral Gables, Florida. The conference was held for former participants of the Transatlantic Dialogue Program’s yearly study tours to Germany. This year 45 participants from the US, Canada, and Europe were part of the conference.

The Transatlantic Dialogue Program of the North America Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation was delighted to bring a delegation of U.S. American and Canadian political professionals to Kiel, Lübeck, and Berlin for a productive and insightful week-long study and information tour to facilitate exchanges between U.S., Canadian, and German political professionals on the transatlantic relationship.
