Political Earthquake in the Argentinian Primaries
The primaries for the presidential election in Argentina on August 13th triggered a political earthquake: Javier Milei from the "La Libertad Avanza" party secured a surprising victory with 30 percent of the votes, overshadowing the established political forces. Milei is considered politically right-leaning and describes himself as "liberal, libertarian, and anarcho-capitalist." These developments could initiate a change in Argentina's political landscape.

6 weeks ago, I arrived in Buenos Aires, and I experienced this city as a free open-minded place. This week is pride week here in the capital. Being from Amsterdam, the first place in the world where two people of the same sex entered marriage, it is an important celebration and protest for me. This week symbolizes the celebration of love and equality. As liberals, we believe everybody has the freedom to be with who they want to be.

Our project, located in the city of Buenos Aires, is not only in charge of the activities in Argentina but in Paraguay as well, together with several partners throughout decades and backed by numerous successful projects. The protagonists of this video are two sisters, Sarah and Angelina Grimke, pioneering women of the abolitionist campaign in the United States of America. Why is this relevant to us? Because they also continued studying, researching, writing, and all their lives never stopped living as true liberal women.
