Jerusalem Office
Request for Proposal: Organization of Activities for "Israel’s Liberal Voice"

Send in proposals until March 8th, 2024

Brief Project Overview:

The Jerusalem office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF Jerusalem) is looking for a service provider delivering the services of strategic planning, content and event production, marketing and branding and community building and management for its alumni network “Israel’s Liberal Voice” (ILV). The service provider needs to promote the network to a growing audience, through interesting activities and programs such as a podcast series, organizing and moderating discussions for the existing network, the well as events for a group of new applicants and a weekend seminar.

Who we are

With a unique Israeli-Palestinian team FNF Jerusalem aims to be a platform of innovation for enhancing freedom in society, strengthening dialogue with the EU and contribute to the advancement of Israeli-Palestinian dialogue leading towards peace. Together with our partners, we want to strengthen liberal values like the rule of law and democracy, the respect of human dignity with civil and human rights, market economy principles and entrepreneurship and a democratic culture of tolerance and pluralism.

Project Goals and Target Audience

Having started as an Alumni Network of FNF in 2020/2021, and having reached out to additional liberal audiences in 2022 & 2023, ILV in 2024 aims to continue to grow into a nonpartisan platform for liberals from different affiliations debating liberal values and contemporary political developments in Israel. For this purpose, debates on liberal values and policies should reach wider audiences through another season of our liberal podcast series, public discussions on contemporary developments through a liberal value lens and through a “Debating Liberalism” weekend semonar, which aims to bring new applicants into the network.

Scope of Work and Deliverables

We need a service provider that can design, coordinate, produce and moderate five public discussion evenings on important political issues debated through the liberal values lens, as well as plan, coordinate and organize a weekend seminar (around 50 participants) bringing together Alumni and “newcomers” and FNF partners together in the third Quarter of 2024. Additionally the service provider needs to produce a podcast series with 10 episodes discussing liberal values.

The service should include reporting on the events as well as community building for the network during the year.

Criteria for Selection, Timeline and Budget

We expect you to send a proposal including price offers for the following event formats:

  1. Design, coordinate, produce and moderate five public discussion evenings (1.5-2 h) on important political issues debated through the liberal values lens.
  2. Coordinate and produce and moderate a liberal podcast series with 10 episodes on relevant liberal topics and with leading liberal thought leaders and activists
  3. Coordinate, organize and moderate one weekend seminar (3 days, 2 overnights for approx. 40 participants) for new and existing members of our ILV network which should also act as a big networking and liberal brainstorming event.
