Human Rights in Venezuela: Who is Víctor Navarro?

Victor Navarro is one of the millions of Venezuelans exiled from their country by the regime of Nicolás Maduro. He became a human rights activist after surviving "El Helicoide." He exiled to Buenos Aires and through technology allows us to enter and feel what today political prisoners of the regime are living inside the largest torture center in Latin America.

One year after the earthquake: "People need hope in such disasters"

On 6 February 2023, two earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.5 shook south-eastern Türkiye and northern Syria. According to official figures, 53,537 people lost their lives in Türkiye, many more are missing and more than 500,000 homes were destroyed. Many people in the region continue to live in a state of emergency. At the same time, local elections are just around the corner in the earthquake region and people are waiting for answers to many questions.

"It needs to be innovative. Currently, as I'm learning more, I plan to work extensively on making it sustainable and beneficial for humanity. I'm going to expand into more training centers for Burmese traditional sweets. Everyone should know about Burmese sweets, and every Burmese woman should be able to make them. That's the plan I've started in 2023 and aim to launch by 2024."
