Whoever wishes to spread liberal thought and to further its organisation around the world must promote a lively intercultural dialogue and exchange. Active listening and learning are crucial: true dialogue is based on tolerance and mutual respect. The task of the Department for International Exchange and Advanced Training in Germany at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is to foster and implement these liberal principles through facilitating a worldwide exchange of ideas.

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is committed to an open society in which diversity has a chance. Diversity has many facets: ethnic origin, sexual identity, gender, nationality, age, but also lifestyle, education, religious and political convictions or life experience.

Safeguarding Democracy in the Digital World
20 participants were selected to attend this workshop. I introduced myself as a facilitator to help sort-out discussions throughout the workshop. Among the activities that we do was a discussion of basic democracy (Democracy 101). After that, we talked about how the pandemic will affect our democracy.

Statement of the Board of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom on the Russian invasion of Ukraine: The Board of the FNF strongly condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russia's actions are an attack on the European security order. Russia alone is responsible for the human suffering. The Russian invasion of Ukraine will find a common response in solidarity with Ukraine.

According to Joseph Schumpeter, an entrepreneur is a person who is willing and able to convert a new idea or invention into a successful innovation. But to promote open markets and support the innovating entrepreneurships it needs some preconditions. Today is Human Rights Day. It is a marker of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), which was proclaimed by the United Nations on December 10, 1948. The day also reminds us that democracy and freedom cannot be taken for granted - we must defend them. The commitment of human rights defenders is required in all countries of the world.

Making Magic Designing & Facilitating Impactful Gatherings
As someone who is in charge of organizing events in a non-profit organization, the pandemic has created a new challenge for me. What was held in a small budget hotel ballroom with bad taste coffee and small bite-sized snacks has turned into a 2-hour gatherings in virtual conference platform. It worked for the past 2 months, but then the webinar fatigue, happens.
