Introduction:

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) is a German political foundation dedicated to promoting freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. Operating globally, FNF supports projects aligned with its values independently. The Cape Town office, known as the "Liberal Workshop," focuses on advancing liberal democracy in South Africa and the broader African context through research, seminars, workshops, and conferences.

Project Overview:

The Cape Town office is embarking on a new strategic cycle, Vision 2026, and seeks a qualified and experienced social media provider to assist in implementing a comprehensive social media plan. The objective is to extend the Foundation's reach, promote liberal values, and foster engagement in the online space. It hopes to reach existing and new audiences.

Scope of Work:

The selected social media provider will be responsible for:

1. Social Media Strategy:

  •  Develop a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with FNF's values and goals.
  •  Identify target audiences and key messages for different platforms.
  •  Propose content themes and posting schedules.

2. Platform Launch:

  • Create and set up official social media profiles on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop customised graphics and content for each platform, ensuring consistency with FNF's branding.

3. Content Creation:

  • Generate engaging and informative content, including text, images, and videos.
  • Ensure content adheres to the FNF's messaging guidelines and resonates with the target audience.

4. Monitoring and Analytics:

  • Implement tools for social media monitoring and analytics.
  • Provide regular reports on platform performance, audience engagement, and key metrics.
  • Make data-driven recommendations for optimising the social media strategy.

5. Training and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Conduct training sessions for FNF staff on social media best practices.
  • Transfer knowledge on managing and updating social media platforms independently.

Timeline:

The project is scheduled to commence on December 1, 2023, and will run through 2024.

Proposal Submission:

Interested parties are invited to submit detailed proposals addressing the outlined scope of work. The proposal should include:

1. Company Overview:

  • Background information on the social media provider, including relevant experience.

2. Proposal Outline:

  • Plan addressing each element of the scope of work.

3. Portfolio:

  • Examples of previous work with a focus on social media campaigns for similar organisations.

4. Budget:

  • A budget detailing costs associated with the project.

Submission Deadline:

All proposals must be submitted by 28 November 2023 to Wayne Alexander at wayne.alexander@freiheit.org.

Evaluation Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Experience and expertise in social media strategy and implementation.
  • Alignment with FNF's values and goals.
  • Creativity and innovation in content creation.
  • Demonstrated success in previous social media campaigns.

The Foundation for Freedom reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal.
