The Friedrich Naumann Foundation Beirut Office is focused on Lebanon and its people. Regional and local turmoil makes the work of the foundation in this country challenging, forcing our office in Beirut to constantly adapt to new social and political changes. In Lebanon, our main objective is to support Lebanese start-ups, civil society organisations and liberal political parties while raising awareness about political education, female empowerment and durable development.

WhatsApp 360 Report
Introducing "WhatsApp 360," a collaborative study with the Samir Kassir Foundation and InflueAnswers. With WhatsApp's widespread influence in Lebanon, revolutionizing communication and information consumption, we aim to reveal its impact on political discourse and society. We analyze how WhatsApp reshapes the media landscape.

Empowering Lebanon's Future Leaders: The IDARA Project

In collaboration with ShababLab and Riyada for social innovation, we hosted this year’s summer school entitled "The Future of Political Advocacy: How Ai is Changing the Game". A program that aimed to introduce youth to the concept of social innovation in politics and advocacy in the digital era.

UNDP Bootcamp

for participants of the Youth Leadership Programme (YLP). -
Project Watan Youth Camp
The meeting, in which more than 80 young people from various Lebanese regions, included political, cultural, environmental and entertainment activities, on Saturday 2 September 2023 in "Chahtoul Camping Site".
