The Friedrich Naumann Foundation Beirut Office is focused on Lebanon and its people. Regional and local turmoil makes the work of the foundation in this country challenging, forcing our office in Beirut to constantly adapt to new social and political changes. In Lebanon, our main objective is to support Lebanese start-ups, civil society organisations and liberal political parties while raising awareness about political education, female empowerment and durable development.

Introducing "WhatsApp 360," a collaborative study with the Samir Kassir Foundation and InflueAnswers. This report focuses on Lebanon's news environment, particularly WhatsApp, assessing misinformation and hate speech. With WhatsApp's widespread influence in Lebanon, revolutionizing communication and information consumption, we aim to reveal its impact on political discourse and society. We analyze how WhatsApp reshapes the media landscape.
Empowering Lebanon's Future Leaders: The IDARA Project
IDARA, a groundbreaking project aimed at promoting emerging Lebanese young leaders, was launched in June as a result of close collaboration with Localised Management Consulting. This pioneering endeavor was made possible through the support of the Friedrich Naumann Founda-tion for Freedom (FNF).
Social Innovation Summer School
In collaboration with ShababLab and Riyada for social innovation, we hosted this year’s summer school entitled "The Future of Political Advocacy: How Ai is Changing the Game". A program that aimed to introduce youth to the concept of social innovation in politics and advocacy in the digital era.

Guidebook on Citizen Participation In Municipal Elections
In partnership with “Nahnoo” we have developed and designed a Guidebook specific about the municipal election law and campaigning for elections: The guidebook provides a general overview about the municipal election law, election campaign, citizen engagement and communication campaign.

for participants of the Youth Leadership Programme (YLP).
