FNF Madrid and the Alicante City Council bring together female executives in the first congress that promotes female talent in the Mediterranean

The Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, the Councilor for Employment and Development of the Alicante City Council, Mari Carmen de España, and David Hennergerger, Director of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in Madrid, presented on Wednesday, November 30th, at a press conference 'Euthenia: The Mediterranean Executive Women Conference', the first congress that brings together 150 women technologists to promote female talent that will take place on December 15th at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante (MACA). This event will feature experts in the sector, such as Eva Diaz, CEO of Appogeo Digital and Coordinator of Euthenia, María Arribas, CMO at Qaleon, María Parga, Honorary President at Alastria and Eva Merloni, Project Manager of WEGATE for female entrepreneurship, who will address issues related to the labor and technological field of women in the current scenario.

Euthenia: The Mediterranean Executive Women Conference presents a program that covers the situation of women in the world of technology from different points of view. These issues, which will be addressed by several experts with extensive experience and professional background in the technology and digitization sector among others, have been structured in blocks where, through different presentations and round tables, issues related to the situation of women in the digital world will be addressed.

This event, promoted by Alicante Futura and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, seeks to "create a platform that becomes a technology network that connects the different profiles of female professionals from around the Mediterranean, establishing contacts and fostering the exchange of talent, as well as the opportunity to open new paths to support prosperous and sustainable innovation," highlights Luis Barcala, mayor of Alicante.

The first part of the congress focuses on the different challenges of women in the technology sector, with the participation of Rosa Mª Sanz, member of the Board of Directors of EirGrd, and Laura Parra, CIO and technology advisor at Cellnex. The 2nd round table will cover the corporate sphere and labor inclusiveness and features María Arribas, CMO at QAELON, and Inmaculada Pérez, director of Southern Europe at Leroy Merlin.

The last two round tables will focus on education as a tool to combat the gender gap, with the participation of Emma Giner, professor at IE University of Human Sciences and Technology, and Beatriz Arias, Director of Operations at Fixed Networks Europe. Local digitalization as an attraction for international talent will also be analyzed with experts María Parga, Honorary President at Alastria, and Eva Merloni, WEGATE's project manager for female entrepreneurship.

"The congress that we present today will allow us to promote female empowerment and development, as well as the involvement and work to close the gender gap that women continue to suffer in the scientific and innovative system. Likewise, it will also allow us to share and exchange experiences with other experts and generate profitable business opportunities throughout the Mediterranean arc," said the Councilor for Employment and Promotion of the City of Alicante, Mari Carmen de España.
