Don't Miss the ABC's of Entrepreneurship Series
The ‘ABCs of Entrepreneurship’ is co-hosted by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and WOWS Global with a primary objective to empower and educate the local Thai startup and young professional ecosystem on entrepreneurial best practices. By convening panels of experienced expert founders as well as investors, attendees gain exposure to seasoned leaders who are best positioned to guide future leaders.
The event will begin with a Knowledge Session [A to Z of Startup Fundraising] led by WOWS Global Founder & CEO Gagan Singh followed by two panel sessions – one consisting of founders and the other of investors.
We will conclude with an evening of networking where guests and speakers can connect!

2PM - A to Z of Startup Fundraising: Simplifying the Jargon
This session will be an informative presentation simplifying key business fundraising abbreviations, metrics and terminology for founders and young professionals to better understand. It will be led by WOWS Global Founder & CEO Gagan Singh.
3:30 PM - Thai Based Founders through the Startup Stages
This panel will feature founders across the various startup stages discussing different challenges entrepreneurs face in early stage vs. growth stage vs. mature stage.
5:00 PM - A Glimpse in the Variety of Investors
This panel will feature different types of investors including VC investors, PE investors, Family Offices and Angel investors. The objective of the session is to give attendees an insight into the diversity in investor type, investor investment thesis and investment preference. Some key areas to be covered include geographical preference, range in average check sizes, industry biases and preferences, capital deployment rates, relationship with LPs and internal structures, existing portfolio, key criteria for founders and more.

Our Moderators
Tharin is a 4th generation Thai-Indian entrepreneur. Having attended the University of Washington and the London School of Economics, he began his career in software sales in Seattle, USA. He has since been active primarily in the hospitality industry as well as with startups. Currently, he is an investor and part of the founding team at WOWS Global. WOWS is a digital investment bank connecting startups and investors to enable transactions.
Samantha is an entrepreneur from the Philippines. She co-founded iWantSeats which is the first bus booking platform and a pioneer in digitalizing Philippine transport operations. iWantSeats has served over 3 million passengers in providing bus travel convenience. She also founded Satori Lifestyle that provides wellness programs for individuals and organizations.
