Liberal House Caucus Holds Assembly to Strengthen Legislative Agenda and Collaboration

© CLDMembers of the Liberal House Caucus and the Liberal Caucus of Congressional Staff gathered at Microtel UP Technohub, Quezon City on November 11, 2025, to discuss ways to sharpen their legislative agenda and build a stronger network for the 20th Congress.
The assembly brought together liberal members, allies, and staff to align on shared goals, assess training needs, and plan strategies for more effective collaboration through 2028. Participants emphasized the importance of a unified legislative agenda to guide their work on progressive and inclusive policies that promote freedom, social justice, and equality.
During the meeting, legislative staff, field organizers, and communication specialists discussed how to better respond to public needs and strengthen coordination across offices. They also drafted a common legislative agenda that will serve as a roadmap for the caucus’s advocacy work.
The event was attended by Members of the House including Cong. Ian Amatong (3D-Zamboanga del Norte), Cong. Leila de Lima (ML Partylist), Cong. Egay Erice (2D-Caloocan), Cong. Kaka Bag-ao (LD-Dinagat), Cong. Boy Umali (2D-Mindoro Oriental), and Cong. Krisel Lagman (1D-Albay). Also present were FNF Philippines Country Director Dr. Almut Besold, LP President Cong. Erin Tañada, LP Secretary General Cong. Kit Belmonte, and representatives from the offices of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan and Cong. Jimmy Fresnedi.
The meeting also laid the groundwork for a training program for members that will run until 2028, focusing on collaboration, networking, and capacity building to ensure the caucus remains effective and united in advancing its legislative priorities.
