AHLN launches its Youth Chapter

The Al Hurriya Liberal Network (AHLN) proudly announces the launch of its first-ever Youth Committee, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to empowering young liberal voices across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This bold initiative was officially inaugurated during the Youth Committee Training held in Amman, Jordan, in May 2025, where a dedicated group of young leaders came together to shape the future of liberalism in the region.

Designed as a dynamic platform for youth engagement, the AHLN Youth Committee is set to play a pivotal role in advancing the values of freedom, democracy, and human rights. Throughout the training, participants engaged in intensive non-formal learning sessions to collaboratively define the committee’s mandate, shared vision, and strategic action plan for 2025.

“Our region’s youth are not just the future, they are the present. This committee ensures their voices are actively shaping policy, advocacy, and cross-border cooperation within the liberal movement,” said Rami Hafez, Chair of the AHLN Youth Committee.

The formation of the Youth Committee reflects AHLN’s long-term vision of building a sustainable, youth-led liberal movement that transcends national borders and fosters regional solidarity. This new chapter in AHLN’s journey would not have been possible without the generous support and collaboration of key partners, including VVD International, the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, and the AHLN Executive Committee.

Together, they are investing in the development of a new generation of liberal leaders, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and network to advance freedom, dignity, and the rule of law across MENA.

The message is clear: a new chapter has begun. The youth are not only ready to lead, they are already taking the first steps. AHLN stands firmly beside them, committed to nurturing this movement and amplifying their voices across the region.
