Statement on the Terrorist Attack on a Church in Al-Karak
Amman, 24 October 2026
We at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom strongly condemn the terrorist attack on the church in Al-Karak. Such acts of violence are unacceptable and stand in direct opposition to human dignity, freedom, religious tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
Through our projects, we have seen firsthand the strong commitment to national unity and solidarity among young Jordanians, as well as their dedication to living together in peace despite differences in backgrounds and beliefs. This reflects the importance of social cohesion and the shared values that bring people together across Jordanian society.
As a Foundation, we remain committed to promoting freedom, democracy, equal rights, and mutual respect, particularly among young people across Jordan. We firmly believe that extremism and terrorism must have no place in a society built on these principles.
We remain committed to upholding the values of freedom, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence through our work across Jordan.
