The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Finance/Administrative Assistant to join our team in Jerusalem.
The successful candidate will support the financial and administrative operations of the Jerusalem Office by assisting with accounting processes, office administration, procurement, logistics, and project-related administrative tasks. Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager and Project Director, the Finance and Administrative Assistant will contribute to the smooth and efficient implementation of the Foundation's activities.

Role Overview
The Finance and Administrative Assistant supports the Senior Finance Manager and the Project Director in the implementation of the Foundation's financial and administrative procedures. The position provides operational assistance in finance, office administration, procurement, documentation, logistics and office management to ensure the efficient functioning of the Jerusalem Office.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with the preparation and review of payment requests and supporting financial documentation.
- Organize, verify, and maintain financial records, invoices, receipts, and accounting documents.
- Enter financial data into the accounting system under the supervision of the Senior Finance Manager.
- Maintain financial and administrative filing systems.
- Support procurement processes by collecting quotations, preparing procurement documentation, and maintaining supplier records.
- Assist in preparing bank, petty cash, and other financial documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the Jerusalem Office, specifically to the Project Director.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, conferences, and Foundation events.
- Support with travel, accommodation, and logistical support for staff, consultants, and visitors.
- Coordinate courier services, postal deliveries, and project documentation.
- Assist in maintaining office inventories and asset records.
- Ensure confidentiality of financial and administrative information.
- Perform additional finance and administrative duties assigned by the Senior Finance Manager or the Project Director.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or another relevant field.
- At least two years of professional experience in finance, accounting, office administration, or a similar position.
- Good understanding of accounting and financial documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Excellent command in English and Arabic is required (written/spoken).
- Good Command Hebrew is a considered key asset.
- A valid Driving License
