"Media Voice" has published a comprehensive comparative analysis of the European Media Freedom Act (EMFA) and Georgia’s media legislation. The study presents an in-depth look at EU standards on media freedom and highlights the significant gaps between European norms and Georgian practice.

It offers clear recommendations on how Georgia can align its media laws with EU requirements, especially during key reform windows on its path to European integration. The analysis finds that legislative changes introduced in 2024–2025 are largely unconstitutional, anti-European, and risk becoming obstacles to EU accession.

Key systemic issues include restricted editorial independence, politicized regulatory bodies, compromised public broadcasting, and the vulnerability of journalists.
