The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) is an international non-profit organization promoting the ideas of liberal democracy, respect for human rights, good governance, economic freedom, and digital transformation.

The Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, South Asia in New Delhi will be organizing a conference on “Rivers as a Lifeline for South Asia” in Kathmandu, Nepal from 15th to 16th March 2023. The conference will have speakers from Europe and South Asia. More details about the conference will be provided on request.

Scope of work:

The consultant will be responsible to carry out the following tasks:

  • Assisting speakers and participants to get Nepal visas.
  • Arranging local transport for speakers and participants.
  • Taking care of conference-related services including but not limited to conference kits, participants lists, banners, refreshments, and local participants.  
  • Arrange a photographer or/and videographer for the event.
  • Prepare a list of potential journalists who can be invited to attend the event.
  • Any other event management support that might be required during the conference.
  • Arranging a side program on the last day of the conference for speakers and participants.
  • Submitting the accounts as per FNF’s financial guidelines.

Duration of the contract:

This is a short-term contract. The actual number of days will be based on a detailed work plan that will be developed after the agreement between FNF South Asia and the selected applicant.

Eligibility:

Background in event management

Native-level fluency in English

Experience in managing international conferences.

Should be based in Nepal

Working conditions:

The selected consultant needs to be based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Throughout the contract duration, the applicant will work in close partnership with the FNF South Asia office and select a hotel for the conference. FNF will provide the budget for the conference.
