More than 80 students from different universities and different backgrounds came together, from August 23 to August 26, to learn more about the environmental and economic challenges in Lebanon under the umbrella of the 3rd edition of the Citizenship Summer School organized by FNF in partnership with the Student life office at Université Saint Joseph.

The program offered the participants interactive sessions with high-level experts for the suggested topics where they exchanged important information and ideas. In addition, the students had the chance to play the role of city council members in a one-day simulation aiming at teaching them the process of policy-making regarding environmental issues in a financial crisis setting.

The outcome of the program was solution ideas that the participants came up with and pitched to a jury panel on the last day in a competition setting where 5 groups were selected to develop their ideas and hopefully implement them.
