30 Years of IAF
3) Facilitators
Even the most effective methodology needs skilled hands to bring it to life. That’s why we work only with facilitators who are deeply committed to liberal values and bring both subject-matter expertise and exceptional facilitation skills to the table.
Our facilitators are more than trainers—they are mentors, consultants, thinkers, and developers of people. Many have walked the same path as our participants, having once joined our seminars themselves, and remain closely connected to the IAF.
They are masters at designing immersive learning journeys—whether over one week or two—and they guide participants through complex content with ease, clarity, and genuine care. Their presence ensures not only a smooth experience, but one that is both intellectually challenging and personally transformative.
It is the synergy between our facilitators, our philosophy, our methodology—and above all, our participants—that creates something truly special. Strangers arrive, but leave as friends and fellow travelers on the path of liberalism. It’s no wonder that many call our academy in Gummersbach the Magic Mountain—a place where liberal ideas come to life.
