Frederic Spohr
Short vita
Frederic Spohr heads the Korea and Taiwan offices of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. He also oversees the Global Innovation Hub in Taipei and is responsible for monitoring developments in mainland China.
His work focuses on technology policy, Asia–Europe relations, and geopolitical developments in East Asia. Research projects under his leadership have been featured by international media such as Bloomberg and Al Jazeera. He has lived and worked in Asia since 2012, initially as a correspondent covering Southeast Asia and India.
Spohr holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Cologne and is a graduate of the Cologne School of Journalism for Politics and Economics.
