Stefan Schott is an economist and has worked for more than ten years in leading positions for major European foundations.
Schott began his professional career as a TV journalist, reporting for various German news programs. After an interim stint as a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, he moved into public relations, working for a PR agency, a private company, and a university-affiliated institute for economic research.
In 2011, he was appointed Senior Vice President for Communications at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. As a member of the executive management team, he shared responsibility for the strategic development of the foundation. In April 2021, Schott joined the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom to become the Project Director for East Africa and Head of the Global Partnership Hub. Since October 2025, Stefan has joined FNF India as the Project Director and is now based in New Delhi.
