On Saturday 01.08. was the time for the elections. In a very democratic and transparent climate, the General Assembly elected Eleni Siapikoudi (from Thessaloniki) as the new President of Young Liberals. Also, the Assembly elected the rest of the board, all of them to serve a two-year term. The new Bureau, besides Eleni Siapikoudi, includes:

Vasilis Mylonas: Vice President / Campaign Strategist

Nikolaos Zerzelidis: Secretary / Volunteer Coordinator

Achilleas Raftis: Treasurer / Finance Officer

Theodoros Sofianos: International Officer / Networking Specialist

Iasonas Avlonitis: Member / Community Coordinator

Georgia Tsalgini: Member / Events’ Planner

The proposed way for the organization and the operation of the Board of Directors is based on the creation of groups according to the pillars which are mentioned above. Every member of the Board will be responsible for an action pillar. Furthermore, he/she will staff and supervise a group that is going to help him/her and the organization to achieve the defined goals.

Before the elections, all the candidates (both for the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee) analyzed their proposals, their thoughts and their action plans with sincerity, dignity, and respect to the body. Last, on Sunday, 02/08/2020 the action plan for 2020-2021 was adopted, after a productive conversation among the delegates.

The overall organization is evaluated as excellent and the two organizations will work closely to build and implement a long-term strategy for spreading liberalism –as an independent ideology- among the youth and work to fulfil actual political goals.
