Towards a Brighter Europe: A Collection of Essays brings together eleven international authors who share their liberal visions for Europe in 2050. The contributions cover a broad range of topics: from strengthening democratic participation through new civic formats, to reimagining an open and inclusive European identity, to concrete policy areas such as drug policy and artificial intelligence. Several essays also explore how Europe and Africa can work together to build a more just and democratic future. What unites all contributions is the conviction that freedom, diversity, and liberal values form the foundation of a strong and future-ready Europe. This publication is an invitation to debate — and a call to shape Europe actively and boldly.
