Elif Güney holds her bachelor’s degree in Political Science & International Relations from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey. As a senior student, she spent her last year in Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain, as part of the Erasmus+ program. She studied renewable energy cooperation among the BRICS as a part of her master degree. Before joining the Friedrich Naumann team, she facilitated the establishment of a youth NGO, namely Co-Opinion, the youth network to address youth problems in the MENA. She had the privilege to work as a researcher and trainee in different institutions, including the Istanbul Policy Center and the UNDP. She is working for Friedrich Naumann Foundation as a Project Coordinator since 2017. She is fluent in English; she knows intermediate level Spanish.
