Fighting Poverty using Innovative Technology
The Action Research in Community Health and Development (ARCH) has partnered with the Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom South Asia in empowering marginalized farmers with property rights titles, especially women, by using IT-based methodology to improve their livelihood. Indians living in rural and forest areas have suffered historic alienation because they were denied their traditional right to property and livelihood. These communities have consequently lived in the most impoverished conditions, with poor infrastructure and less access to health care.

Concluding Our European Visit with a Vital Discussion. We wrapped up our European visit with an insightful discussion with Adivasi-Koordination Deutschland, featuring Dr. Theodor Rathgeber, Daniel Happel, and Ms. Sabine Meyer. Our partners Trupti Mehta and Ambrish Mehta from ARCH, who have helped nearly 60,000 tribals secure their land rights, shared their incredible journey and advocacy strategies. Joined by Dr. Carsten Klein and Nupur Hasija, we explored ways to strengthen our efforts in tribal advocacy. This meeting marks the conclusion of a significant visit where Trupti Mehta received the prestigious Walter Scheel Award.
