Female Forward : We ask, how can women better reach their goals in society, politics or at work?

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, and other liberal institutions have been supporting the Africa Liberal Network’s Women’s Leadership Programme. The programme trains female politicians from ALN member parties to develop knowledge and skills in order to win candidate nominations and upcoming elections, or to be elected to internal party leadership positions.

The programme also aims to dismantle barriers to women’s political participation and selection as candidates. So far we have featured leading women from across Africa, representing Morocco, Senegal, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zambia, Ghana, Somalia, Malawi, Tunisia, South Africa, Guinea and Botswana.

The project also falls within our global campaign titled #FemaleForward. We ask, how can women better reach their goals in society, politics or at work?

IN THE VIDEO SERIES BELOW, WE PROFILE WOMEN IN LIBERAL POLITICAL PARTIES WHO SHARE WITH US WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGE FOR WOMEN IN AFRICAN POLITICS. AND ALSO, WHAT THEY ARE PERSONALLY DOING ABOUT IT!
