Real Story of Lies tells you the story of how propaganda and disinformation work in Georgia, who are victims, and who is in charge of these campaigns.   Within the frames of the investigation "ifact.ge" journalists searched and analyzed hundreds of social media posts and groups. The movie investigates the ways fake news websites operate in Georgia and how the state may benefit by distributing fake news through social media. It tells a story about the lengths bad actors are willing to go in order to spread the misinformation and undermine trust in democratic institutions.
