Code of Conduct - Leitprinzipien

Guiding Principles

The Code of Conduct is based on the most important principles of liberal thinking. The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom stands for equality, tolerance and respect - all its actions are guided by these.

This Code of Conduct is grounded in the notion of freedom and in liberalism, the Foundation’s statutory mandate, the Constitution and laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the European Convention of Human Rights, International Labour Organisation Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and Germany’s Diversity Charter (‘Charta der Vielfalt’). Freedom, diversity, justice, freedom of opinion, international understanding, participation and personal development of every individual, competition and social protection as well as tolerance and respect, equal opportunities and equality from the ethical bedrock of our actions.

As an expressly liberal foundation, we advocate and promote liberal values and prefer to work with liberally-minded people.
