Portugal took over the EU Council presidency took over from Germany in January. In the discussion, take a look at the joint roadmap of the so-called trio presidency, with each country, looking to leverage its respective potential. The Slogan of the Portuguese presidency is „Time to act: for a fair, green and digital recovery“, which touches upon huge challenges, especially in Southern Europe, overshadowed by the Coronavirus pandemic. Questions raised by the expert panel are on the position of Portugal in the EU Council Presidency are the European Union priorities in the current COVID19 crisis. This situation has been a challenge not only at the European level but also at the domestic level. The virus is being fought through protocols and the vaccination programmes. The digitalization of businesses and education has changed the common organization of the society. Inclusion and accessibility of all citizens are crucial key points for the progressive change. A huge transformation is taking place, which affects us all.
