The Moscow office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation For Freedom covers the Foundation’s activities in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The main topics of the Office activities are open society and culture; rule of law and human rights; market economy and entrepreneurship; European dialogue. The Foundation has partners in many cities and regions across Russia. Together with them, the Foundation carries out various projects and events: book fairs, exhibitions, film screenings, publishing projects, expert discussions and scientific conferences, polls, and podcasts among others.

Presentation of the book «Andrei Sakharov. The Man, Who Wasn’t Scared»
The book Andrei Sakharov. The Man, Who Wasn’t Scared became the final project dedicated to Sakharov supported by the Naumann Foundation during the year of the 100th anniversary of Andrei Dmitrievich. This book, which is bright and full of illustrations, is meant to present Sakharov’s personality and reality, in which he lived, to those readers, who are still school pupils.

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom became a partner of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in organization and management of the Muses of Montparnasse exhibition dedicated to free women.

Beethoven Bicycle Promenade
During the Year of Germany, historian and musician Sergey Nikitin-Rimsky, MosCultProg group, and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom prepared a musical and architectural bicycle promenade at small courts of Sokolniki Moscow District.

Russian Media and the Rule of Silence
Learn how the authorities in Russia are trying to silence independent media. The event was jointly organized by the Kennan Institute and FNF.
