Terms of participation

The event is open to all citizens for participation. As the seminar is funded by public funds as a political education event, a commitment to participate in all parts of the program is a prerequisite for your registration.

Your registration can be made online or via a registration form and is binding for you. Unless otherwise stated in the description of the event, you will receive a binding confirmation of your registration from us no later than 10 days before the start of the event.

During the event, photos as well as video and audio recordings may be taken primarily for documentation purposes, but may also be published by the Foundation on the Internet for advertising purposes. If individual participants are to be clearly identifiable on these - so-called "portrait shots" -, their explicit consent is required. If, on the other hand, only the plenum or a larger section of the audience is to be captured - so-called "panorama shots" -, it cannot be ruled out that individuals will be recognisable. Should individual participants wish to prevent this with regard to their own person, they have the right to object which they can assert at any time to the organiser.

In case of less than 10 registrations or force majeure, we reserve the right to cancel the event. We will inform you as soon as possible about a cancellation. Any payments made will be refunded immediately.

If the event is subject to a fee, the participation fee is due with the binding confirmation sent by us or the invoice. If you have indicated cash payment at the event location as part of your registration, the amount will only be due at the start of the event. If you have registered with a reduced participation fee, please bring appropriate proof to the event or send it by e-mail to service@freiheit.org. The reduced participation fee applies to pupils, students (up to 30 years of age), trainees and the unemployed.

The following applies to events lasting several days and for which a fee is charged: You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 20 days before the start of the event. If you cancel your booking up to 5 days before the start of the event, 50% of the conference fee will be due as a cancellation fee. If you cancel later or in case of no-show, the full amount will be due. However, you have the possibility to name a person with your cancellation who will participate as a substitute.

For one-day, fee-based events, the following regulation applies, unless a different regulation is stated in the invitation: You can cancel your registration free of charge up to 3 days before the start of the event. In case of later cancellation or no-show, the full amount will be due, unless you name a person with your cancellation who will participate as a substitute.

Please pay the conference fee due as indicated on the registration. For some events, we only accept cash payment for organizational reasons.

Further claims are excluded. The place of jurisdiction is Potsdam.
