Since 2021, the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) has been running an innovative training and dialogue program that brings together early and mid-career professionals from Germany and its African partner countries, namely Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia and Togo.

For the second edition 2022, three (03) young Ivorians will take part for three (03) months of training in Germany:

- Bénédicte Koffi, Program Assistant at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation

- Adama Bamba, Vice President of the African Youth Advisory Council for Disaster Risk Reduction (CCJA DRR), within the African Union Commission

- Bohouo Vincent Kadélé, Resource Mobilization Officer at the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP)

The program aims to develop leadership skills and enable co-creation of knowledge and peer-to-peer learning necessary for sustainable development, in line with the goals of Africa's Agenda 2063 and the 2030 Agenda for Development sustainable.

Participation in the program facilitates networking opportunities with German and European actors from various sectors and with representatives of African institutions.

Before their departure for Germany, the three (03) "Ivorian ambassadors" were received by Mr. Mamadou Touré, Minister for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration and Civic Service, who assured his support and that of his ministry.

Several avenues of collaboration were discussed in order to put the skills acquired at the service of the State of Côte d'Ivoire.

The program is organized and hosted by the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
