About the programme
The Young Leaders Programme is an online learning and networking programme that aims to bring young people from Southeast and East Asia together to support their future careers. The programme provides opportunities for the young leaders to learn and discuss in a multicultural setting. This session focuses on the basics of Cryptocurrency and how does it work. Also on the opportunities and risks within it.
Admitted young leaders will gain opportunities to connect to people from other countries in Southeast and East Asia as well as to connect to international experts and an international organization.
The programme is organised by Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom Southeast and East Asia Office
What topics are discussed?
There are four sessions and each session will last for one hour. The topics include what are cryptocurrencies, kinds of cryptocurrencies and underlying technology, cryptocurrency as an investment, and NFTs, what is it?
All sessions are in English and takes place on ZOOM platform.
All sessions are scheduled to hold from 14:00 – 16:00 (GMT + 7).
December 18 2021 – Introduction to Cryptocurrencies; Kinds of Cryptocurrencies and underlying technology

Bitkub Academy's objectives are to prepare people from the physical world for the upcoming digital disruption of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies through an abundance of educational pieces and programs. The academy aims to offer education on blockchain technology, digital assets and their influence through the focus on both physical and online sessions to reach out to the mass as much as possible. Their focus is displayed through three main objectives which are democratize knowledge, hub for cryptocurrency knowledge, and encourage the mass to become more involved in cryptocurrency.
December 19 2021 – Cryptocurrency as an investment; NFTs, What is it?

Cris D. Tran is an experienced digital strategist, corporate team player and start-up enthusiast. With more than 10 years’ track-record of defining new business strategies, launching new ventures, and delivering operational impact, both as a business CEO and management consultant, he has handled an extensive full-cycle driving deal execution from strategy to integration, taken care of public sector to enterprise, corporate and SME accounts. Currently, Cris is co-founding FAM Central, a universe in which Blockchain empowering fan to become investor with all kind of entertainment products. Cris is also the Head of Investment for BAS Ventures under Blockchain Alliance for Sustainability as well as provide his Advisory for Green Beli – an environmental CSR project driven by NFT games. Other global DeFi projects that Cris is providing his insights as Advisory Board: Centaurify (NFT Ticket Marketplace), GemUni (Decentralized Casual Games), Calo (Exercise to Earn), Camly (Investment Metaverse), Crypto Piece & Moniwar (DeFi games), Vconomics (Decentralized Data Tool).

Admitted young leaders will learn about cryptocurrency and what are opportunities and risks within it and expand their network and connection to international experts and FNF organisation.
Eligibility
Youth (age 16-19) from Southeast and East Asia Region are invited to apply! Admission is based upon academic merits and English proficiency.
Requirements
A photo, academic transcripts and English proficiency proof
When admitted, a signed guardian consent form for online participation will be requested!
Selection Process
Applicants will receive an email or a notification about the admission. Applicants will receive an interview, if they are shortlisted, on subsequent weekends. All decisions are made immediately after the deadline. Therefore, early application is encouraged.
