افتتح مكتب مؤسسة فريدريش ناومان من أجل الحرية في القدس الغربية في سنة 1983 وهذا كان بداية عمل المؤسسة في إسرائيل، ومنذ سنة 1994 بدأت العمل في فلسطين. تعمل المؤسسة بطاقم مختلط من الفلسطينيين والإسرائيليين في مكتب واحد، لتكون منصة من أجل تقوية الحريات العامة، وتعزيز الحوار مع الاتحاد الأوروبي وألمانيا، والمساهمة في دفع عجلة الحوار الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي من أجل السلام. بالمشاركة مع شركائنا تقوم المؤسسة بتشجيع التغيير الإيجابي في المجتمع وإيجاد حلول ومفاهيم خلاقة للحرية في الحاضر والمستقبل. تركز المؤسسة في مشاريعها على المبادىء الأساسية للقيم الليبرالية مثل سيادة القانون، حقوق الإنسان، اقتصاد السوق والريادية وكذلك لتطوير ثقافة ديمقراطية، ومن أجل التسامح والتعددية في مجتمع منفتح.

2020 raised hopes that Israel and Turkey may be on their way to improve ties, despite policy differences and lack of trust. “Turkey wants better ties with Israel”, said Turkey’s President, raising speculations that the countries may send back ambassadors to each other’s capitals before too long. This will be a positive development, but Israelis and Turks should not let the fate of their countries’ relations be dependent only on their leaders’ will.

Aftermath of Gulf Countries Normalizing Relations with Israel
Ties between these two Gulf states and Israel predate the Abraham Accords. The UAE has previously relied on Israeli technology in areas of cyber-security, and the UAE and Israel have also cooperated in intelligence-sharing. The Accords bring into the open – and accelerate – existing ties between them and facilitate the expansion of these ties in the economy, trade, tourism, healthcare, and certainly security. It remains to be seen what specific kinds of security cooperation will emerge as a result of the Accords.
