Nr. 51 | 15.10.2010 | Bosnia and Herzegovina: General elections 2010 (engl.)
On 3 October 2010, 3.126.599 citizens with voting rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) had a chance to elect the presidencies of BiH and of the Serb entity Republika Srpska (RS) as well as to choose between 63 political parties and coalitions and 8.242 candidates on all levels above munici-palities. Preliminary results suggest some shifts but the impact these might have on the government configuration on all levels and on the power balances in BiH is still very hard to predict. International and domestic observers had no major objections to the voting process but the number of invalid bal-lots in both presidential elections (BiH and RS) cast the shadow of doubt over the election results.Vollständigen Bericht jetzt abrufen (PDF, engl.)
