In the past months, the human rights situation in Southern Africa has mostly made the headlines with negative reports on human rights violations. A counterexample is the case of two ex-officers of Zambia's air force who were awarded damages by a court in Livingstone following claims that they were tested and treated for HIV without their knowledge.
